Introducing the Crimea Patch
Improved Postscript Standard Diplomacy Map for Diplomatic Pouch DPjudge

The Crimea Patch  fixes an error in the Crimea region of the Black Sea on the DPjudge's original  Standard map.  I merely modified the original Postscript (PS) code but I offer the entire, revised map for download so that you do not have to pry open the code to apply the patch.  However, you could extract the patch to splice it  into another map.

DETAILS:  In the old Diplomatic Pouch Postscript file of the Standard Diplomacy map, the Isthmus of Perekop (connecting the Crimea to the Dniepr River basin area of southern Ukraine) and the Strait of Kerch (separating the Crimea from the Caucasus region) "switched places," incorrectly merging the Crimea with the Taman Peninsula.in the Krasnodarsky Krai of southern Russia.

REASON (POSSIBLE):  Cartographers often merge or delete small features, abstracting to serve a purpose.  Multiple filter iterations of automated raster-to-vector converters can introduce errors while abstracting, condensing, and smoothing.

NB:  I added code so that the map should display in the Ghostview PS reader.
